Creating the Panorama - Digitize the Source Images
You have three main options for converting photographic source Picts to a digitized Pict format:
- have the source negatives (or slides) output in PhotoCD format
- print the negatives (or slides) and scan the prints in a scanner
- use a scanner to digitize from the negatives (or slides) directly
Of the three, the PhotoCD format is often the best choice as it simplifies the storage and retrieval of the digital images and is very efficient for digitizing a high volume of images. However, any approach which creates acceptable, digitized images in a Pict format can be used to create QTVR panoramas.
