Since scenes can be fairly large in terms of file size, single panoramas with hot spots are normally only used on a web page to provide links to other web sites, or to other QTVR media on separate web pages. Another use for single panoramas, however, is within a multimedia authoring environment where the hot spots can be used to initiate actions such as play sounds, show a movie, or reveal hidden text. Thus, creating hot spots on a panorama does not involve a specific target panorama or object, but rather just an undefined hot spot area that provides the cursor change. Instead of defining the link within the panorama, the fact that a user clicks on the hot spot is interpreted by either the multimedia authoring tool or the browser plug-in to execute the link action. To create hot spots in a QTVR panorama, you'll use the QTVR Authoring Studio's Scene Maker tool. However, since you want only a single panorama with hot spots, you'll use a special node called a "Blob" node to provide an undefined destination for the link.
